IN THE PINK

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER IN THE PINK!

QUESTION: What’s the first thing you do when you retire?

QUESTION: What’s the first thing you do when all your children are settled at school and of an age to be a bit independent?

ANSWER: In both cases, the entrepreneurial mother and daughter duo of Beryl Shapps and Marla Coutts decided that setting up their own business was the way to go.

On selling her business 18 months ago, and retiring from a busy life in independent retailing, Beryl applied her 35 years knowledge and experience to produce the online eBook best-seller ‘101 BUSINESS HINTS AND TIPS’ . This was based on her long involvement in running her two shops. Buying and selling, plus managing the administration, as she did on a daily basis, gave her the opportunity to pass on this knowledge to others.

But, more than that, being so well versed in the ways of business, she could not just sit at home doing nothing: she felt that she was ready to explore new avenues. Marla, Beryl’s daughter, initially trained in Textile Technology at Nottingham University. On gaining her degree she went on to work for several of the prestigious fashion houses, before getting married. Then, whilst bringing up 4 children for the last 16 years, she has kept her hand in - garnering additional experience in the process - by buying and selling interior home accessories for several companies on a part-time basis. She, too, was just about ready to launch out into something new.
So, what better than to get together amalgamate her complimentary talents with those of her mother?

LAUNCHING ONLINE

With such a background it was not surprising that both had a yearning to be fully occupied and soon put together their multifarious talents to form a company . This has, in turn, led to the formation of the mother-and-daughter team, Shapps & Coutts

Opting for to be, part of a modern sales force, they have taken the first steps by launching their brand-new company on-line. Their chosen products carry the tag ‘Inspiration for the Home!’ and their website provides a varied and exciting range of products for the discerning buyer.

From traditional cast iron objects, through ceramic tableware, via some original one-off art pieces, there’s lots of decorative ideas for the home. Add to this a page delightfully entitled....
...GO PINK!
Beryl’s daughter has brought her talents to bear on some of the more fascinating areas of home enhancement; and this is epitomised by a page on the new website labelled
